THE TIMELINE

Since the death and resurrection of Jesus in 33 AD, his followers put together churches - places where the community of believers in Jesus came together to be encouraged and to be sent out into the world with this good news: Jesus has died, Jesus has risen, and Jesus will come again, so believe and be baptized. Basically, "Come join us!" For 2,000 years since Jesus, many have put their faith in Jesus. When these believers die, the Bible says they become part of a "great cloud of witnesses" who cheer the rest of us on, so to speak, as we live out our trust in Jesus. We continue to gather a small selection of the millions of people who now look down and want you and me to earnestly live for Jesus. So, in short, the message of Work Out Your faith is simple: we invite you to know Jesus by telling stories from the past.
